Is there a way to export the backlog or the current sprint to excel from the cloud?

This plugin supports JQL from within Excel via the new Jira() function.

Search for the issues you want in the issue navigator, then use the export tool to generate CSV - all spreadsheets (such as Excel) can read CSV
