Jira Automations Logs

Raj May 4, 2023

Hi Team,

We are seeing issues with automations created for specific project and rules, sometimes those are not running and sometimes with delay. Is there a way we can troubleshoot or where we can find the logs on server side?

Thanks,

Raj

You can enable Automation for Jira logging with your desired level and scope: https://confluence.atlassian.com/automation/enable-logging-for-jira-automation-1141480669.html

Then, the app will write its own log-lines to the same logfile as Jira does. (Unless you customized the logger configuration in your server.)

Hi Rajesh - You should be able to look at the Audit Log for the rules inside of the Automation for Jira app.

If a rule doesn't trigger at all, it is usually because another rule is firing that would normally cause the second rule to fire. Be sure the box is check on the Rule Details page for "Allow rule trigger".

Do we have any option to check backend logs from Plugins path?
