Jira Board Columns Based on Status

Hi all,

I have a manufacturing workflow set up with several different statuses and I would like to make a board to track each issue through its workflow. In this board all parts are on the same workflow and I would like to have one column in the board mapped to its respective workflow status. I know I can manually go in and change the column mappings however I would like to have the board set up so if I change the workflow or status names, the columns will also update. Currently the default is to sort the statuses by their "To Do", "In Progress", "Done" category.

Thanks.

Hi Brendan - what type of project is this?

Company managed

Sorry, but for Company-managed projects, you will have to do the board updates manually to add columns and then map the statuses.

It is more automatic for Team-managed and Business projects, but you lose lots of other flexibility.

Not possible in a Company-managed project as board and project are two separate features or items, they are connected by the board filter and configuration. However, it's possible in a Team-managed project. See video here: https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/4953064?key=0850c76790ce101c196c0cb8e368fed6

Interesting, OK. I'm using  a company managed project because I need more than one workflow.
