Jira Cloud Advanced Roadmaps have Program

Hi -

I am migrating from Jira server to the Cloud. We noticed that the Plans no longer have the Program when migrated to the Cloud.

Is Program hierarchy, where it can have one or more plans, supported in Adv Roadmaps in the Cloud?

If so, can you  point to the docs that show  how to turn this on?

Thanks

Virginia T

Hi @vthomas9

No there is no program option in Jira Cloud.

This function was introduced in Jira version 3.x and was originally there to show issue types in the hierarchy higher than Epic.

Advanced roadmaps evolved an this feature isn't a necessity anymore as you are able to view these levels now in a Plan.

In on-premise, this option is still in server/dc, but its not needed to show hierarchy, as the advanced roadmap plans also have been updated in server/dc

Cloud never had this option.

@Marc - Devoteam

Our use case is that we have programs that contains multiple plans. The Program view provides an easy way to see the status and progress of each Plan in the program.

I think you are saying that Advanced Roadmaps Cloud does not have a way to set up Programs that contain one or more Plans.  Here's what our server Adv Roadmap Program/Plan view looks like.

Is there a similar view in the Cloud?

Hi @vthomas9

Yes, there is no program view in Cloud.

This as mentioned in my statement why.

To differentiate, I would use a prefix on your plan names as a best practice.
