Jira Cloud - How to tranition to a previous status from a global Status

I need some help. I am using Jira cloud. I have designed a workflow with several status example status a,b,c,d and then I have a status called "On Hold" which is global where all status can get to. After a user has been on hold I want him to be able to transition to the previous. Any suggestions other then scripting solutions, if could anyone share a script for JIRA cloud ?

There are some options that you can use to achieve this functionality. Basically, you can use two plugins: JIRA Misc Workflow Extensions or ScriptRunner
