Jira Cloud for Outlook is not longer working after the sunset of Internet Explorer 11

I am using Outlook 2019 and it is up to date on the latest updates. When I open and try to use Jira Cloud for Outlook I get the following error. I have tried updating outlook, removing the add-in and reinstalling on Outlook as well. I am guessing the plug in just needs to be updated to use edge? Any help out there for this very useful plugin for Jira Cloud?

What exact Outlook version do you use? Here's an instruction on how to check it. Here's a list of Office versions that shows which version uses which browser. Starting from this version Office apps use the old Edge browser which might be enough to make the add-in work:

Windows 10 ver. >= 1903, Windows 11

Microsoft 365 ver. >= 16.0.11629 AND < 16.0.13530.204242

and starting from this version the new Chromium-based Microsoft Edge browser is used (which is preferred):

Windows 8.1 Windows 10, Windows 11

Microsoft 365 ver. >= 16.0.13530.204242

That is very helpful to know it is related to the version of outlook our org is using. Since we are on outlook 2019, this add-in will no longer function.
