Hi Team,
I created my Atlassian JIRA account through cloud. The steps that I followed are
jira.atlassian.com -> Try it Free -> Jira Software -> Try Cloud
I created a project and I am trying to archive the project following the instructions from https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/archiving-a-project-938847621.html. So even if it falls in the Jira Software data center (i am assuming cloud is DC) category, I am not getting the option to archive the project.
The only option I am getting is Project settings when I click the hamburger icon (options). And nothing in the project settings either to archive a project.
Please suggest on how can this be archived.
Thanks and Regards,
Rama
Mine was the free one, so it was Evaluation licensing I guess.
Did you give it a DC licence? (It'll work with a Server licence, but won't enable the DC functions. Evaluation is fine)

@Aswin AchuthanWeird stuff. So just out of curiosity, I also downloaded the JIRA Software DC.
Running it from my localhost, still unable to view the Archive option.
Is there anything as a pre-requisite? Please note that I am the admin. There is no other user.
Thanks,
Rama

Thanks Aswin. Yeah I realized that as soon as I dropped this note.
I started working on hiding the project. I was just hoping that some one might surprise me with a better solution! :)

@Ramakrishnan Venkatesan Jira Cloud is not Data center version, and it doesn't have option to Archive a project (as mentioned in that link provided by you)
In Jira Cloud, you can either hide the project or make it Read-only depends on your purpose.
Refer Archiving a project documentation.
This links to Jira Server document, but still "Online Archive" should apply for Jira Cloud as well.
