My organization uses Jira integrated with Confluence. From a Jira issue I can create a confluence page and the two gets linked.

But it appears Jira is able to properly link the issue and the confluence page only if the page's title is equal to the issue ID, like PROJ-1234.

Is there any way to set a more expressive title in the Confluence page while still having Jira properly linking the issue to the page?

Regards, Bernardo

Hey @berpast ,

I'm a part of Idalko team, you may check one of our plugins Exalate for connecting your Confluence with Jira. It's an easy way to keep both sides updated.
Exalate will help you to keep the titles you want and also have links between your issue and page bidirectionally.

We do not have this available for Confluence in the marketplace yet. But we are planning to release it soon as early access. Do you want me to keep you updated?

Hi Bernardo,

there's no need for the page title to be equal to the issue key. You can link any confluence page to an issue & link to any issue from a confluence page.

Generating confluence pages from Jira is done with an app in our company: You might want to check out the Issue Publisher from the marketplace. It also allows you to update / sync confluence pages or push / copy attachment from a jira issue to a confluence page.

Best
