Jira Epic/Theme Field Visibility Across Different Projects

Hi,

I am creating a task list for my team in Jira. We are using the Epic/Theme field to differentiate between different task lists however anything we put in there is visible in the drop down list in other projects. Is there any way to hide our project-specific entries in the Epic/Theme field from other projects (without creating a custom field)?

Not without creating a custom field. The Epic/Theme field is a label field and the labels are all stored in the same database table...
