How to create a JQL filter that displays all issues in my Jira instance quartly without changing the year

On the assumption that you would run this filter at the end of each quarter, surely just checking for all issues in the past 3 months would do it? What exactly do you mean by "display issues quarterly"? All issues created in the quarter? Closed? Worked on? Going with my first assumption and if it's issues created, something like 

createdDate > -90d
