Jira Issues - remove previous email reply from comment

We are using an jira email address and when a comment is added it emails the watchers/participants.  They can respond back to the email.

When they respond to the email we only want the response to the email added to the issue not the previous email history.

how do we go about doing that? I've used the search didn't really get an answer to the question.

@Gavin I am assuming you are on server and have admin rights.  You will need to make an adjustment to the mail handler to create a comment and use regex to identify where to stop.
