Jira Migration from one instance to other with selected projects only

HI,

Trying to migrate Jira  from one instance to other with selected projects only

Could you please advise how we can achieve this ?

Goal - to migrated jira tickets with their users and attachments to the new instance 

I tried CSV  - where the attachments are missing 

XML - the size is so big can't open / don't want every other project to import 

checked for couple of plug-ins but they are mostly for server instance 

please let me know if you need anything else on this

The easiest way to do this is to restore the entire backup and then delete the projects which you no longer need - https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/restoring-data-from-an-xml-backup-938847707.html

Another method is to perform project import but only one project can be imported at a time. Thus you need to perform the project import multiple times - https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/restoring-a-project-from-backup-938847691.html

You may import the project configuration using either one of these tools :

* Botron Configuration Manager

* Adaptavist Project Configurator

Please note that with the Project Import feature, it does not include any Plugin data so likely all Agile/Service Desk data would be missing.

We are currently merging two jiras by writing a lot of custom code to handle the merging of fields and configurations -- It's not simple.
