[Jira] Missing a transition button on screen some times

Folks – I have a project where items in the same status – Open – has different screens. Sometimes, the transition Start Progress can be chosen from the screen. Sometimes not.

I just ran a database integrity checker and everything passed. I am about to embark on a study on the Advanced Workflow configuration as suggested by Atlassian Support.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I would look at the workflow conditions. If you're using the standard workflow it comes with a "current assignee" condition, which means that only the current assignee can trigger that workflow transition.
