Jira Next-Gen Roadmap: Done Items not removed, should I delete?

Everyone who looks at my Roadmap sees the done items. How are you supposed to get rid of them.

I have found deleting the Epic to work. But that then orphans all the Issues from their Epic.

Atlassian, did you forget to think about this? What do I do here to simply *not show done Epics in the Roadmap Next Gen*.

Thank you.

I cannot accept the answer "Just build a filter". 30 staff from all over my company are looking at my Roadmap view (Epics). I just want the "Done" to not be visible *by default* on the Roadmap. I don't want to send all these users to some "Custom View".

Thank you again. Troy

Hi @Troy Center - I believe Done epics remain on the Roadmap indefinitely, though they are grayed out. I don't think there's a way to exclude them from the Roadmap, other than to filter out the Done status.

Unfortunately this filter does not work for me either.
I cant exclude the epics which are marked done neither to view only those. Regardless if all the childs are marked done or only the epic.Screenshot 2019-03-28 11.32.27.png

I'm seeing the same issue as Gyula

One thing I noticed – in the screenshot Kevin posted, "Done" is green (which Jira uses when tasks are finished). In Gyula's screenshot (and my own instance), "Done" is blue, which represents in-progress. I don't know how to change this in next-gen projects or if it's just a bug in Jira right now

Hi Troy,

I'm not on the Jira team, but I do know that the team working on Jira Next-Gen regularly listen to Customer feedback.  I would recommend jumping on this thread in the Community to discuss your use case: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Next-gen-articles/What-s-coming-soon-for-next-gen-projects-in-Jira-Software-Cloud/ba-p/894784

I also know that Jira Next-Gen projects are not considered "done" yet.  You can keep track of shipped and upcoming features here: https://www.atlassian.com/roadmap/jira-software

NB: I've noticed that sometimes the Community forums does strange things to links so if this doesn't load for you please copy and paste the link.

I hope that helps!

@Troy Center , for NG projects Done items will age off the board after 14d. Definitely do not delete the issues that would yield undesirable results.
