I have created a new plan in JIRA Portfolio.
When I colour by labels it appears beautifully and well organised. And stays that way.
A member of my team has edit permissions in this plan and has updated her view settings to have the same "color by label" settings as mine.
For a few days it remains before reverting back to the old boring grey.
This plan is intended to be shared with many different teams and asking them to constantly redo the view settings will be problematic.
Is there a permission that I am unaware of that is stopping instances from keeping the view settings in the plan?
I unfortunately do not know what version of portfolio we are running.
Hi Eddy,
View setting aren't persisted to the plan or to the user's account, but are stored locally in the browser. Unfortunately that means it's not possible to set it globally for all users.
Normally the settings should remain in the browser indefinitely. I'm not sure what is causing your team member's settings to be reset -- please check if there is something wiping stored data in her browser, as that would remove the settings.
If sharing the plan in a read-only mode is sufficient for your needs, you can share it with view settings pre-set, via the report view. Click "Share" at the top-right and use the "link" option. The link will open the report view with whatever settings you have set when you generate it.
Regards,
Portfolio Team
