Jira Premium and Jira Align

Hi All,

We are a 500-700 user Jira Cloud standard licence using organisation.

We are planning to upgrade to Jira Align, before that the plan was to settle with Jira Premium only.

Now the question I have is that when we are upgrading to Jira Align, do we have any reason to have Jira Premium as well?

I believe Align gives us what Premium does and a lot more as well (looking at the comparison in Atlassian portal itself). Just want to be sure about it, before formally proceeding with this venture.

Jira Align is a tool that should be used together with Jira, and not a standalone application that replaces Jira's functionalities.

Basically, you will use Jira Software for your technical execution, so you can have your teams developing and working on their features, stories, tasks and bugs, and then you can use Jira Align for the business strategy, so you can connect the Features to the Epics for example and the Executives can have a good view of what is happening and the forecast.
