Today, the Jira Program only offers options to 2-4 weeks efforts across 2-6 columns if 2 weeks sprint is selected and 3-4 columns when 4 weeks sprint is selected. This limits the mid-term planning opportunities.
What options exists to extend the number of columns when 4 weeks is selected as base duration?
There's no option to use/select more than 4 columns when using a 4-week column duration.
I've tried checking if there are open suggestions on the topic, but couldn't find anything related. To be honest, I'm also not that happy with the available configurations for programs. I've actually just tested the feature, but haven't used it quite properly yet.
I'd suggest chatting with Atlassian Support team about this. Their team can probably open a new feature request based on the requirement.
