Jira Salseforce connector stopped working

This worked last week, this week getting the following when testing.

Failed to establish connection to remote system
The login details which you have provided is not correct, please check the details and try again.
Error Details (click to expand)
net.customware.plugins.connector.core.exception.ConnectorIOException: salesforce.error.INVALID_LOGIN at net.customware.plugins.connector.

I've checked the conenction details & username & password. 
Not aware of any changes

the reason behind all our issues was initially an exprired security certificate.
