Hi all,
We are working with the Jira-Slack integration to show updates from our development team in Slack to our sales team. If a story gets transitioned to a new phase, an automated message will be send to Slack.
Since the summary can be a bit technical, we would like to show the description of the story in the automated message to Slack as well.
The automation settings in Jira say that we should be able to see the description. However, we don't...
I've added screenshots. One of the settings in Jira and one with how it shows up in Slack.
Anyone knows how I can make the description show up in Slack?
Hi Lucas,
While it's been some weeks since this question was opened, I just wanted to acknowledge that this is currently how the integration works for the transition event. There is a suggestion open on our public Jira instance to display the description during a transition, as it does when an issue is created: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/API-384 .
Cheers,
Daniel
