Hi all,
I am trying to upgrade jira from 8.1 to 8.4.2.
when am doing pre-upgrade checks and steps, in Plan Your Upgrade--> Recommended version to upgrade is showing 8.3.2 whereas higher version v8.4.2 is available in marketplace. Same scenario for confluence Upgrade version as well.
I am curious to know why the recommended version in Jira/Confluence in Plan your upgrade is showing lower version than which of available in Atlassian Marketplace?
By upgrading to higher version than recommended version makes any difference? or support level is different?
Could you please provide some clarity on this?
Thanks,
Tamilselvan
Hi @Tamilselvan ,
this is probably because the Plan your upgrade function has not been updated yet. You can upgrade to the latest 8.4 version, it doesn't make a difference ! No changes in support etc.
Let me know if this helps,
