Jira Sub Tasks do not update Parents Time Spent

Hello,

How do I calculate time spent on the parent tasks(I'm referring to the stories)? Time spent is there in sub-tasks level but it doesn't sum up to the stories level.

Workaround is Turn off the New JIRA Issue View.
