This should be a text area that is resizable and scrollable. When you click subtasks and then click back, it scrolls to the top. This means if you have 3 page description on a ticket and 10 subtasks, in order the prepare the subtasks (assuming you hit each 4 times), that means the user is forced to scroll the same 3 pages a minimum for 40 times for a total of 120 pages of scrolling. See the problem? It should be configurable as scrollable text area so it can be resized, should be an easy fix. Went to submit a bug report and it took me here. Assume I have to plan 10 of this tickets a day, not feasible or pleasant using Jira as the tool.
You need to put in a request for them to change it. After that, I suggest you list the request here and ask people to vote on it. This is a community forum. We can't change anything in the product.
