Dear All,
We have an requirement Jira and Jenkins Integration for Application patch deployment
Requirement:
We are getting huge application patch deployment tickets we plan to automate
Our Plan In Jira will give all the information about the deployment, Jenkins should get the variables from Jira and start the deployment when it get approved
Jira is integrated with codebase for binary, release notes, deployment guide
1, Jira software in cloud Jenkins on On premise
In Jira we have the Deployment & environment details based on the approval
when we click on deployment trigger in Jira, Jenkins should get all the variable from Jira and start the deployment
Could any one advice on my requirement and possibilities
Thanks
Venkat
Hi Venkat,
I understand that you want to be able to trigger a Jenkins build from within Jira Cloud. While our guide to integrate Jira Cloud with Jenkins over in Integrate Jira Cloud with Jenkins, from reviewing that I don't think it will do exactly what you want here.
However we do have a KB article that explains how you can use the automation feature within Jira Cloud to setup this kind of integration, please see Trigger the Jenkins build from Jira Automation. I believe this KB has all the steps needed to setup an integration like the one you are looking for here.
Does that help to meet your needs here?
Andy
