Jira cloud automation ->

Hi!

  • we are currently following kanban method using jira. every step of our workflow is visualized and includes the business side (on one board)
    • currently, our automation rules are the following:
      • all items on the board that are due within 1 week are itemized and sent to slack
      • all items that have no due date but are on the board are itemized and sent to slack

what some have requested is the above to be further separated into "business" and "dev" items when it's posted as an itemized list on slack.

what i would like to know is whether it's possible to:

  • instead of the first condition being due date, can i have the first condition being whether it's a "business" or "dev" item?
    • then, send to slack in one post:
      • items with due dates within 1 week
      • items on the board without due dates.

i hope i managed to make my request clear :(

Hi Stefannie,

I think I understand our question. You probably need to construct a JQL filter that does what you want it to do - run it and check the results. If that is good, then use the same query in a Scheduled trigger for your Automation rule.
