Hello Team, Could you please provide the cloud  automation for achieving the below mentioned tasks…

We would like to enable the creation of an Epic level new issue type called “Explore”.

1. Ability to create children “tasks” only and NOT “stories”

2. Workflow- mirror standard workflow for task under ISP (i.e., ToDo/InProgress/Done/OnHold)

1. Add “Pre-Discovery” status

3. Fields – mirror Task layout under ISP

4. Restrict these tasks to be created in ISP home base (ISP) Jira only

5. The preferred icon for this is attached to this ticket.

Task Automation

1. Automate to create 1 child ticket for anytime an Initiative is created in any homebase

1. For any new Initiatives created, automatically create a child ticket with the new Issue Type “Explore” and name “Initiative Analysis”

2. Automate to create 1 child ticket with Issue type “Task” under the newly created “Explore” ticket

1. the ticket name will be “PMO Qualification: BAU vs. Small Enhancement vs Project”

2. Dependent on the “Technology Team” field, auto-assign to designated assignees

1. Investment Application → assign to Kapil Malhotra

2. Finance & HR Apps → assign to Sharon Lai

3. Remaining → leave as Unassigned for the time being

3. Automate to create 6 children tickets when Epic is moved to “Pre-Discovery” status in any homebase

1. When Initiative is moved to “Pre-Discovery” status, automatically create 6 children tickets with Issue Type “Task” under the same “Explore” ticket

1. Ticket names as follows:

1. Enterprise Data team involvement

2. Reporting & Performance team involvement

3. Data & Architecture team involvement

4. Clients & Marketing Application team involvement

5. Finance & HR Application team involvement

6. Investment Application team involvement

2. Dependent on the technology team, auto-assign to designated assignees

1. Investment Application → assign to Kapil Malhotra

2. Finance & HR Apps → assign to Sharon Lai

3. Remaining → leave as Unassigned for the time being

This is not an automatable task. This is a set of configuration tasks that can be accomplished by a Jira Administrator. Please contact your Jira Administrator to request those changes.

The remainder of your post are tasks that can be automated using the Automation Rules feature. Automation Rules can typically be created by Jira Administrators and Project Administrators. Do you have either of those roles? If not you will need to contact your Jira Admins or Project Admins to get assistance getting those rules created.

Note this is a community of users of our own copies of Jira. We are not admins for your instance. We can provide information about how the rules could be constructed, but we cannot actually construct them in your Jira.
