Doesn't allow directly dragging and dropping an Outlook email (.msg) into a comment box - my colleague can do that - assuming Microsoft Outlook Jira Connector or the Jira Cloud for Outlook Add-in - would that be accurate assumption

Hello Latif,

The Jira Cloud for Outlook Add-in is installed in my Outlook and I am able to drag and drop an email .msg on a work item to add it as an attachment in Jira cloud.

Perhaps you can try installing the (free) add-in from https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/office/WA200000056 and see if that solves your issue.

The add-in as such is a great help for our teams. From creating new Jira work items directly form an email, sending an email to a Jira comment to managing referenced work items directly in Outlook.

Note: this does not seem to work if I switch on "Try the new Outlook"

Hi @Latif Kassam welcome to the community.  I found JRACLOUD-94217 on Atlassian's Jira Site which appears to be your issue.  That refers to an .eml file, but I would say the two are certainly related.  I would gather you could add a comment to that to refer to msg files as well.

I would suggest voting for and watching it for future updates.

Hope that helps.
