Jira integration for businesses

Hey there all! I hope you are doing well. I just wanted to ask that currently we are looking for solutions regarding integrating customer jira into our application. Can anybody suggest how to implement the same.

Basically, what we want is people who integrate jira with our platform, we would access all their issues, boards, and sorints into our application, for workload calculation and project management of a particular project.

Can anybody suggest some ideas to implement the same?

This is Majid @ Exalate. 

It is not clear to me if "your platform" is also a Jira, but if it is, I would request you to explore an integration app like Exalate. You will be able to sync with your partners Jira without any one ever having access to the others platform.

Hi Sahil,

That really depends on what you need from the integration.

First I would ask "Do I need a Jira app?". If your platform is SaaS based as well, then maybe using webhooks can API calls can work.

If not and an app is required, then the next thing I would ask is "Can I build the integration using Forge or should I use Connect?" 

Forge is getting better and better every day, but there are still things that it can't do and would require you to use Connect instead. See also https://developer.atlassian.com/developer-guide/cloud-development-options/

All the next questions are really dependent on what you are looking for in the integration, how it should work and what it needs to so.

If you share more details then maybe I can give my thoughts on how I would do it.
