Jira invite to my google account not working?

Hello Jira Community!

My project's jira admin sent an invite to my gmail (google) account and I received the invite in my inbox, but when I click the link to accept the invite, I get sent to https://start.atlassian.com/ with no jira listed.

Yes, they have enough available user slots for me.

And, yes it works if I use a non-gmail throw-away account.

What should I be doing to diagnose and fix this?

Ask your PM or admin if you have been allocated to any projects.

Project list will show the list of assigned projects.

They are assigning jira issues to my account that I can't use to get into jira. They can even see my google avatar when they do this.
