Jira is neither unable to perform a Lock Index nor a Background re-index

In the log-File we get this message: Index consistency check failed for index 'Issue': expectedCount=149479; actualCount=0

For that Re-Index "finished" in 1 Second.

What we tried:

  • Delete the directory caches/indexes and all its sub-directories. Path: $JIRA_HOME/caches/indexes
  • Re-Index in SafeMode

Nothing helps.

We checked the Permissions of the User "Jira" and checked the disk space. Everthiny looks fine.

We are using JIra 7.6.13 and an Oracle Database.

Hi @Michael Reiff ,

The cause of this issue is, it occurs when the new version of JIRA cannot reach the customized index path.

Please follow the instructions in the below KB article to address the Index consistency issue.

https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/after-upgrading-jira-indexing-is-disabled-329352458.html

Thanks,

Kiran.

Hi Kiran,

as I understood, in Jira 7 the Index Path cannot set to a customized Directory. So your mentioned KB-Article did not help.

Even the message from the log-File says: expectedCount=149479; actualCount=0. There is no Problem mentioned with the Index-Path.

Regards

Michael
