Jira issue - no options available for either decommission or migrate, a tenant

Simone Smacchia August 3, 2022

Hi,

I'm facing a tech issue with Jira. The options to select (decommission, migrate), are missing when I open all the tenants assigned to me.
As a consequence, I cannot perform any action.
As you can see in the attachment, It looks that there is no action to be taken, no option to select.
Can you please help me to solve this, as I need to work on my tenants list asap?

Thank you

Ok, your URL is for a Server/DC install, not Atlassian Cloud (they all end .atlassian.net for now - there's a long-running jok^H^H^H request out there to allow custom domains).

Trudy is exactly right about contacting your admins, it is your only option, but there are three possibilities behind the missing workflow items where your red ??s are.

  1. I only mention this one for completeness, and I do not think it is the case here.  Your current state has no outgoing transitions.
  2. The workflow has transitions out of the current state that are protected with "conditions".  If a condition is not met, you will not be offered the transition.  You'll need your admins to check what any conditions are there and then look to see why the issue/user does not match.
  3. Data corruption.  I won't bore you with the detail, but you need to get an admin to run the "integrity checker" for the workflow items, and tell it to correct any problems it finds

Hello @Simone Smacchia

Welcome to the community.

There is no attachment with your post.

Also, are you working with Jira Server/Data Center or Jira Cloud?

Simone Smacchia August 3, 2022

Hi Trudy,

I'm working with Jira Cloud I guess: https://jira.sme.c.eu-de-2.cloud.sap/secure/Dashboard.jspa

Hello @Simone Smacchia

The field that you have highlighted is the Status field for the issue you are viewing. What you are asking about is functionality specific to the instance of Jira you are working with and the project that you are working in, and the permissions you have been granted. We don't have access to your instance of Jira - we are other users of the Jira products in our own companies.

You are going to need to contact the administrators for your Jira instance. You can start by contacting the administrator for that specific project. You should see a menu bar near the top of the screen that includes the Projects option. If you select that you should see an option like View All Projects. That will show you a list of the projects on your Jira instance. That list should include a column that specifies Lead for the project. Try contacting that person to get assistance.

Thank you so much, Trudy!

I've contacted the project lead and she already gave me the permissions.

Appreciate that.

Best,

Simone
