Jira license migration

ANALEC June 26, 2020

Hi!

We are currently on version 7.9.1. of Jira Software, that has an expired maintenance contract. We would like to move Jira to a new server and keep the same software version.

Which version will we be able to install??

Maintenance Contract Expired on 12th Jul 2019.

Go to https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/update and have a look at the "older versions" lists and their release dates.

You can upgrade your system to any version of Jira released before the 12th July 2019.

From memory (and please be aware that I have a terrible memory), I think you're looking at an upper limit of 8.1 or 8.2.   You should be able to do a direct upgrade from 7.9 - no need to go through intermediate versions.

Thanks for a quick response @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- , i checked on the versions and seems like 8.2.3 version will be fine for us. as the release date for the same was 9th July 2019, which was just before our Maintenance expiry date.

Can you please confirm this as well?

Many thanks.

Looks like my guess at 8.2 was right!
