I need to upgrade jira from 7.3.6 to 7.3.9, how do I go about this. I know with 7.7 , you could download the exec file and run the upgrade, but with this it is a little bit confusing. Please let me know as I am not able to find any exec download for 7.3.9
If you have Jira Data Centre, then ignore this answer and look up in-place upgrades.
Otherwise, an upgrade from Jira 7.3.6 to 7.3.9 is the same process as going to 7.7.0 or above. Download the installer, and point it at your current installation, it will upgrade it.
On https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/download click "All server versions", then "view all version", then work your way through the lists until you get the one you need.
(For what it's worth, I really don't like this way to get to older downloads, it's convoluted and far far too clicky. I'd rather see the list and use ctrl-f, it's way faster and more obvious)
Hi there,
The complete doc is here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver072/upgrading-jira-applications-828787633.html
It's pretty well explained so without more details we might not be vey helpful but I'm sure you'll manage with some care and caution! Always do your backups and depending on your OS you have multiple upgrade options. I personally do like the tar.gz release which I do feel is easier to manage when you're familiar with it but the autoinstallers are very helpful when dealing with smooth upgrade.
Please let us know if you have any issue during the process and we'll be happy to help!
