Jira new instance => Connecting to existing database

Hi,

I've a new install a new instance of JIRA and i'm tring to connect directly to an existing MySQL database.

i think i have to configure it in the databaseconfig.xml but it's still using the hsqldb database and going to the setup wizard. What do i need to do to use the MySQL database?

Do you really mean databaseconfig.xml ?  It probably should be dbconfig.xml in the JIRA home directory

No of course i mean dbconfig.xml.

But I saw that is a config for the database in the server.xml so i suppose that if i confugure my MySQL connection there it will work.
