Hello,
If we have hyper-v virtual machine software and want to install Jira on a vm, what would be the risk?
(As hyper-v virtual machine software is not in the supported platforms of jira: link here)
The biggest risk with installing Jira to a virtual machine is in regards to resource allocation. With a VM, it is not always clear if the resources for that machine (cpu and memory primarily) are being shared between virtual instances dynamically or if there are actually dedicated resources for this virtual machine. I would recommend checking out Virtualizing JIRA (JIRA on VMware). Even if you're not specifically using VMware, it still has a lot of good information and background about using a virtual environment for Jira.
