Jira plans / advanced roadmap auto-scheduling appears non-sensical

I'm using auto-scheduling in Jira plans / advanced roadmaps and it's resulting in what seems like a strange scheduling pattern (correct me if I'm wrong).

As you'll see, rather than scheduling the third and final story in the first epic, immediately after the second story - there's a gap in the schedule for that epic and instead, the entirety of the second epic is scheduled for completion before then closing off the third story in the first epic. I mean, it's not detrimental but it does seem unusual. Is there some logic to this?
