Jira re-index needed after child inherits value from parent

Hello all,

We have an Child(story or bug) and a Parent(epic) issue. The Child inherits a value for a custom field(=Team) from the parent. 

The problem is:

When the team is empty in a story/bug (inherited) , and also its epic has no team set, then setting the team at epic level visualizes the team in the story/bug, but filters based on team do not pick that story.

I have noticed that is this corrected later automatically, or upon a story transition or upon a re-indexing.

Does anyone has an idea how we can fix this directly after setting the team on the epic.
