Jira restart clearing details from db-config.xml

Hello,

Last day when we had to restart our production instance of Jira, on restart the data in db-config.xml about our database connection details got cleared and jira was showing like fresh set up. I thought that was because we had to run some script provided by a plugin support team to clear their data from jira db & eventually it might have corrupted the db-config.xml.

But today i restarted the test instance where we dint do any changes to db and on restart same thing happened- db-config.xml data went missing & i had to reconfigure.

Any idea why this is happening.

Could you give details of how you restarted? Using any custom scripts?

Hi @Fazila Ashraf,

Our server is in linux and so after going to bin just gace ./shutdown.sh and cleared pid file  and log files & started using ./startup.sh
