I created couple of screens which are being used at a certain transition. Each screen similar but when I use the screen during the transition, I get the screen pre filled in earlier transition.
For example.
1. Create a screen 1 with few fields and use at a transition
2. Created a screen 2 with same fields and similar page and used at different transition.
When I do the 2nd transition the screen is filled with screen 1 fields from first transition.
Initially I used same screen for both, but when fields are already filled I thought I needed to create another screen but even the second screen also does the same.
Any work around/solution for this?
Thank you
If I am understanding you correctly, you have 2 screens apart of the same workflow. The two screens have the same fields but are shown in different transitions.
If that is correct, when you use transition 1 and fill out the fields, that field is then populated. Any time you see that field in that issue, it will show the current value. So if you then use transition 2, the field will not be blank because the issue has a value for that field.
Does that make sense?
If you want the fields to be empty when the transition is used, you would have to use an addon like Automation for Jira or Scriptrunner that can clear the fields based off a certain action. Since you have tagged cloud, you have Automation for Jira by default now which have just been renamed to automation. Its in your project settings under Project Automation. Unfortunately clicking the transition button for #2 would not be enough, it would need to actually run through the transition to get it to clear so I don't know exactly how you can go about that but there are ways.
Thank you for the quick response. Yes you are correct on my issue. Thank you for the knowledge on Project automation page. It seems very useful tool.
It works as expected but one of the fields which I want to update as part of the transition its not available. Other are there but one is missing.

Nevermind I figured out. Thank you for your support. I have another question completely different from here but may open a new thread
