Jira setup

How do we setup Jira with attachments. should we specify attachment directory to any file in server. I have setup Jira using the archive file.

Install Jira, the attachments will be in <jira home>/attachments. That's it.

But I suspect there is more behind this question. Why are you asking this?

Once I started Jira. there were few directories(import,log,plugins,export,) created in home . but I don't find attachments directory in it. should we manually create directory and update any config file

No, you don't need to do anything. When Jira needs it (i.e. you attach a file), it will be there.
