We have 2 users in Jira who are not able to create new ticket when forwarding or replying email after changing subject and removing ticket number, it adds comment in previous ticket while other users are not seeing this behavior.
Anyone have any idea what might be causing this.
I expect there is metadata that remains resulting in the original being updated. I wouldn't recommend the approach of changing subject to achieve new ticket. Rather, assuming the body is important, have the select all and copy into a new email altogether. But that is just how I would do it. ;-)
