Jira tickets are not getting created on the board but appears in the backlog

Geo Mukkath August 3, 2023

The tickets that my team create in a team managed project does not appear on the board. This was working a day ago but for some reason now tickets directly appear on the backlog.
There's a notification that get's popped "For issue md-869 to be visible, it must match your project and filters, and have a status that’s assigned to the board. "

It is a kanban board that we work with and there are no sprints.
The statuses are correctly mapped to the columns, there are no filters applied to the project. I have been trying to figure out the problem for the past 2 hours. Someone pls help.

This is how it is supposed to work, when you have a backlog enabled - new issues should go into the backlog, to be moved on to the board when the team decides it should.

The most simple test you can do is to re-configure the project, turning off the backlog option (this test will not affect any of your issues when you turn it on or off, it's purely a "how stuff is displayed" setting)
