Jira tomcat process eating up all memory and it stops email notifications

My jira instance stop email notification periodically. When it happens we are not able to open mail queue page, it keep on processing that request. It generally happens when our instance process eat up all the allocated memory of server. currently we have 32 GB of memory.

it resolves when we restart our server but it occurs again in every 2 to 3 hours. Need to resolve this as soon as possible.

which Jira version are you using?

Hi,

please upgrade to a supported version of Jira. This might fix the issue. Are you using the bundled Tomcat server or standalone Tomcat?
