Jira upgrade from 7.12.3 to 8.0

Hello,

One of our customer is running Jira software 7.12.3. We're planning to upgrade it to the latest version i.e 8.0. I read the announcements and came to know that PostgreSQL 9.3 is not supported from Jira 8.0 on-wards. So should we upgrade PostgreSQL 9.3 to PostgreSQL 9.4 prior and then upgrade JIRA or how we should plan.

Please let know and guide me.

Well, you already know that Postgres 9.3 is not going to be supported so..

Do the upgrade Postgres now or when you upgrade Jira to 8.0. It depends on what and when you can schedule downtimes.
