Jira workflow zooming changed from wheel to clicks

In JIRA 6.1 you can zoom a large workflow with the (mouse) wheel.

In JIRA 6.3 this has been replaced by a click in a +/- button.

There is a request open (JRA-40693) with a comment from Atlassian that this was deliberate decision.

For large workflows with 15-20+ states there is a big difference in usability.

Any comments?

Maybe zoom needs to be more user configurable.   I can understand how mouse wheel zooming would quite annoying if you are use to the mouse wheel doing page scrolling.
