I am trying to export data from zendesk and import into service desk. I have exported a tickets.json from zendesk. How do i go about importing that into service desk, I see an option to import a json file in service desk, but just wanted to understand how does that work, when i start the import, am i going to be given an option to import into any particular service desk project and map fields etc.,? just wanted to make sure i do not accidentally import that into any other project.

Hi, RamR!

I fully understand that the answer may not be relevant to you anymore, but I hope it would be of great help to others who face a similar issue. My answer would be – Help Desk Migration service. If you haven’t heard about it – it is an automated solution that allows you to make a switch from one help desk to another without losing any important data. And, it’s available on Atlassian Marketplace, too: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1218450/zendesk-to-jira-service-desk-migration?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

Here at Help Desk Migration, we offer a free trial, so you can easily test out the tool and see how it works in your particular case. And if you’ll like it, you can proceed to the full migration. Just drop us a line and we’ll be more than welcome to help.
