Kanban board from filter - workflows

Hi,

I've created a board sat in a project from a JQL filter. The source items come from boards with software workflows but my destination view has a different workflow as it's related to delivering documentation for the software.

Trouble is the source issues seem to only want to move through the workflow based on the source board - not my destination board. 

Is there any way around that?

Hi @Jaipal Singh  -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

The issues belong to a project, and the associated workflow for the issue type within that project.  They cannot have a different workflow by displaying on a different board...a board is just a view of issues using a filter.

• You seem to be describing that there is additional work (documentation) for the software development issues
• If documentation work has a different workflow, you may want to consider creating new issues for documentation work, and link them to the software issues
• The documentation issues can then have their own workflow
