I have a company-managed project using kanban methodology. I would like to change this to a sprint based board. As a team, we decided sprints would be better. What is the easiest way to move from our existing kanban board to sprints? Help please.
Thank you!!
Hi @Arda Isiksalan,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
Moving from Kanban Board to a Scrum board is easy, and you could reuse the same filter that you currently have for your Kanban board is you like. All you have to do is create a new board by clicking on the down arrow to the right of your current board and then select Create board.
On the next screen just select Scrum board and follow the on-screen directions.
Forgot to add that this only applies to company-managed projects. If you are in a team-managed one you would have to enable Sprints by going to Project settings > Features.

Actually, in a Team Managed project that was initially set up as Kanban, you just need to go to Project Settings > Features and enable the Sprints feature. You don't have to make a new project.

@Trudy Claspill - Thats what I thought too but in the project settings I dont see sprints as a feature. Assuming thats because it's company managed project.

Correct. Switching between Kanban and Scrum using the Project Settings > Features option is available only for Team Managed Software projects.

I don't think you can change boards like that. Just create a new scrum board and associate it with the project.
