Left Hand & top menus keep disappearing

Hi All, 

Bit of a strange one. I use Edge (as mandated by my company), and everytime I log in to check my Jira board the left hand menu keeps disappearing. To bring it back, the only method I've found is to log out then back in again, which brings the menus back until I go into our current sprint, which is starting to get really irritating now.

Has anyone else seen this - if you have, what's your long term solution (assuming you have one)? 

Yes, I have disabled my browser extensions and it's still happening

This looks like Jira's built-in full-screen mode. Exactly the same happened to me - I eventually discovered you can turn it off by clicking the arrow icon in the top right of the screen (highlighted in the screenshot below):

Hi Gavin,

Since private mode works, I suspect it's a conflict with your Edge profile.

Try these:

  • Reset Edge settings to default settings. (more drastic step than just clearing cache and cookies, but it might resolve the conflict)
  • Create a new Edge profile and try Jira with that. (helps isolate whether the issue is tied to your existing profile data)

You can also try the keyboard shortcut '[' which shows/hides the sidebar and see if that works?

In fact at the moment, all options disappear and I'm not able to do anything when I click into my current project except view the sprint board. So frustrating

Cleared cache, 
Disabled extensions on this site (and browser wide termporarily)

Tried in private mode. and that seems to work so I'm really unsure what is going on here.

Can't show an image of the entire board because  that would break our confidentiality rules.
