Link Issue wipes out after already select when there's an error on the page.

When there's an error on the screen, the selected issue link gets wiped out.  This will cause the user to miss this field since it is not required.

On a screen I have resolution, linked issue and issue, log work and comments field. I made comment a required field but every time I don't enter comment but the other fields were selected, the linked issue defaults to  previous and the issue is blank. Any idea why this is happening?

I am sorry, I do not understand what you are seeing.

Could you walk us through what happens?  For example,  a user clicks create issue, gets a screen with a load of fields, fills them in, including a link field, then clicks create and it ignores the link field (I'm not guessing that is what you are seeing, I'm trying to show you the sort of problem description we need)
