Linking children to Custom Issue Type

Trying to link a task to a custom issue type (in the free version).

Is this not allowed?

Hi @Maria Valdes 

there shouldn't be any limitations on issue links, even in the free tier. Are you using the "Link issue" function? 

There is a difference between linking issues (hierarchy independent) and linking Epics to tasks or tasks to Subtasks (Parent-Child relationship). For the latter, Epic is a System issue type and there cannot be more than that one, but you can create custom Subtask Types.
